Rhythm Section International continue to show off why they’re one of the best in the house music labels in the game at the moment (audio)
I’m seriously addicted to this label at the moment. Currently, along with the likes of Heist Recordings and Dirt Crew, Rhythm Section International have been roll with their releases, and Dan Kye’s “Like You Wanna” continues that streak. It starts off simply enough: a smattering of hi-hats and percussion with the kick drum falling into place pretty much right where you would expect them to. But what really brings it to the next level for me are the unexpected soulful vocals that come into play about halfway in, which really adds an extra hook to make the song more memorable. It also helps when everything finally comes together, that groove is simply undeniable that makes this track an absolute joy to listen to. I’d say my only complaint is that ends a bit too abruptly, but that’s a small nit-pick for what’s otherwise an excellent track. Definitely can’t wait to hear more from this artist and this label.
