Money $ex slows it down for this excellent bass-n-beats banger (audio)
In a recent record binge, I went in on three records from Max Graef’s left-field electronic music label, Money $ex Records. All of them have their standout moments but when I dropped the needle on “Break It”, I started jumping around the round. This is hands down, one of the best tracks I’ve heard of this kind! It starts of with a chamber music-esque harpsichord before moving in slow motion to a siren synth and a neck-destroying, that all finally culminate one final speaker-destroying bass break down at the end. None of it is particularly original, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t the freshest take on this kind of music I’ve heard in long while. Hopefully Money $ex continues to put records of this kind, because I definitely want more of this.
