Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band continue to do no wrong with this amazing cover of a classic R&B track (audio)

Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band continue to show off why they are one of the most in-demand (at least on this side of the world) funk groups around. A little while ago, I posted their cover of Cat Stevens’s “Was Dog A Doughnut”, an unmistakably funky track with Caribbean flair (i.e. lots of steel drums). The flip side of that track is this, a cover of probably Faith Evan’s most well known track, “Love Like This”. They manage to keep the groove of the original in tact while adding their own flavor into the mix, scratchy guitar, a silk as hell bass line, horns, and of course, dancing steel drums.

Grab this while you can before it sells out. Or just wait for the album to come out, 55, on Big Crown Records on May 6th. But that’ll probably sell out too…
